Granted is a not-for-profit organisation that provides advice to community sector organisations that are developing funding applications. We focus on assisting organisations that aim to make a positive social or environmental impact but which have limited resources to seek funding.
We believe funding should be distributed according to the merit of an idea, not the resources an organisation has to write a funding application. However, we know that a well-written submission is more likely to be successful. Although community sector organisations are often experts in their field, they do not always have the specific skills necessary for writing successful grant applications.
We see our most important role as building capacity within the community sector. We do not write submissions – instead, we assist organisations to improve their own documents so that they can build their expertise.
Our expertise comes from our experience working with community sector organisations and funding bodies, particularly government departments. All our reviewers are volunteers who are interested in helping community sector organisations communicate better with potential funders.
Our service is free, independent and confidential. We are not affiliated with any other community sector organisation, funding body or government agency. To reduce costs and provide flexibility to reviewers, all our reviews are offered through email.
